Admin Documentation
How to Login
- Navigate to the login page by clicking the Log in link at the top right of the page.
- Enter your username and password.
- Click Log in.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the Forgot your password? link to reset it.
How to Edit a Page
- Navigate to the page you want to edit.
- Click on the Edit tab at the top of the page.
- Make your changes in the editor.
- Text Formatting: Use MediaWiki's markup or the WYSIWYG VisualEditor.
- Links: To add a link, use [[Article Name]] for internal links or [http://example.com External Link] for external links.
- Add an edit summary in the provided field.
- Click Save changes.
How to Delete a Page
- Navigate to the page you want to delete.
- Click on the More dropdown menu (next to the Edit button).
- Select Delete.
- In the confirmation box, provide a reason for the deletion.
- Click Delete page.
How to Move/Rename a Page
- Navigate to the page you want to rename.
- Click on the More dropdown menu (next to the Edit button).
- Select Move.
- Enter the new page title.
- Leave the "Move associated talk page" option checked (if applicable).
- Click Move page.
How to Protect a Page
- Navigate to the page you want to protect.
- Click on the More dropdown menu and select Protect.
- Set the desired protection levels (e.g., allow only admins to edit or move the page).
- Provide a reason for the protection in the reason box.
- Click Confirm.
How to Block a User
- Go to the user's profile or the Special:Block page (Special:Block).
- Enter the username or IP address of the user to block.
- Set the block duration (e.g., 1 day, 1 week, or indefinitely).
- Provide a reason for the block.
- Click Block this user.
How to Promote a User / Change User Rights
- Navigate to the Special:UserRights page (Special:UserRights).
- Enter the username of the user you wish to promote.
- Select the appropriate user group (e.g., administrator, bureaucrat).
- Click Save user groups.
